New Officials

U. Hayley

On February 8, 2024, 10 students were presented with their BC Athletics Officials Level 1 Certificates.  

They started on this path when in June 2023, they were part of a Leadership Class that participated in Sprint Training with the Greyhounds.  

In August, 2023, they obtained valuable experience volunteering at the 3-day 48th Canadian Masters Athletics Outdoor Championships held in Langley, BC.

Finally, in the fall, they completed online tutorials in Officiating and Safe Sport Training.

Receiving Level 1 accreditation along with the students were 2 Greyhounds masters athletes who partnered with the students for their journey.

In addition to the Certificates for the students, the Greyhounds presented North Surrey Secondary with a plaque for giving us the opportunity to work with future leaders of our community.  see more photos
